Vegan Palmiers Recipe – A Frugal Treat
The usual breakfast routine for me is granola and oat milk, both homemade. A great option for the busier weekdays. However, for special occasions, we love making this quick vegan palmiers recipe. Traditionally more of a sweet snack for the afternoon, we have discovered it as a great sweet breakfast alternative.
We usually have some puff pastry in the fridge for this recipe. For these days when you just don’t feel like preparing anything but still crave something special and sweet. You can absolutely make the puff pastry yourself of course but for us, this is our go-to recipe when we feel lazy.
The recipe is quick and only few ingredients are needed making this the perfect option for a quick sweet snack or breakfast option.
Vegan Palmiers Recipe
You will only need three ingredients: the puff pastry, sugar and cinnamon. Easy, that’s it! You combine the sugar and cinnamon, add it to the puff pastry, roll it up again and cut into smaller pieces. The hardest is for me to wait for them to cool down once we have taken them out of the oven!
We are still working on getting them nice and even but as they are usually eaten in one go we don’t mind too much. 🙂
